Check out this trailer to “The Baby Formula.” I found the subject fascinating and very funny! I can’t wait to see this one.
The film is about two women in love who go through an experimental stem cell process. They make sperm out of one of the woman’s stem cells and mix it with the other [...]

Smita won a Rosie (Alberta Motion Picture Industry Award) for best screenwriter under 30 minutes. Looks like I’ll have to sharpen my pencil, I’m working with a real pro now!
Other big winners include the NFB with Cam Christiansen’s The Real Place and of course Mitch Barany’s (my man!) and the Summerlad’s City of Noise

Basically 7 mid-career women Directors from across Canada and one Director from New Zealand were selected to participate in an intensive directing workshop at The Banff Centre. Think Project Runway only for women [...]
It’s Not Easy Being Green

I have a fraternal twin who I’m extremely close to. In fact we’re practically conjoined via a telephone cord. I always thought if I ever have kids, I would want to have twins. Even when I first decided to get a kitten, I couldn’t get just one (that’s them in the photo). I was told [...]
